So this summer I fell hard for The Venture Bros. after spending four years telling my best friend I had no interest in watching it.

I've been trying super-hard to keep my goofy fanart for it consigned to my tumblr, but genderswaps are my biggest weakness and girl!Hank is a huge cutie...s-so....

Avalon Boards - Part 1

Some of the boards from my ongoing magical-girl project...I'm really having fun with this!

My last year of college is almost finished...gotta keep rollin' until something sticks for me somewhere!

The final project for my Directing class is basically to develop a television show or film and pitch it to the class, complete with character designs and a 5-minute animatic.  I'm doing a magical-girl series very very loosely based off of Arthurian legend- each girl corresponds to one of the Knights of the Round Table and draws her powers from their spirit.  From left to right, here are the first passes on the designs for Lancelot, Arthur, Galahad, and Gawain.

Avalon (the tentative title until I can come up with something better) is a project very near and dear to my heart, so I'll be continuously updating here with my progress on it! 

I had so much fun with magical-girling Nicki Minaj that I had to keep going with some other pop stars, so here's Janelle Monae.  I imagine she'd be something like the Tuxedo Mask of the group, just showing up mid-battle to rattle off some weird robot poetry and then disappear....

Earlier last week I was in an art slump and asked for sketch ideas on Facebook.  My pal Jackson suggested Spider-Man as a magical girl!

I spent most of today in a crummy mood, and the only cure was some Princess Tutu doodling.

Odds and ends from the past few weeks

Fanart is how I de-stress, and I've been crazy busy since classes started up again last week...I still can't believe this is my last semester of college!  Gotta get it together...
